Tipping your cleaning professional(s) is never required, but always appreciated. Our services are priced to ensure our cleaners earn a livable wage, so there’s absolutely no obligation to tip. That said, if you’d like to leave a tip, most range between 10–20% of the service total.

Yes! We offer discounts for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleanings—the more frequently we clean, the more you save. You can also save an additional 10% on all recurring appointments scheduled for a Monday or Tuesday. Visit our deals page to get the promo code.

If free parking is not available near your home, the cost of parking will be added to your bill. We’ll always notify you before applying any parking fees.

Service Related Questions

No, you are not required to be home during your cleaning. However, for your first appointment, we recommend being present when the cleaning crew arrives to provide a walkthrough of your home. After the cleaning, it’s also a good idea to do a final walkthrough to ensure everything meets your expectations.

The number of cleaning professionals assigned to your home can vary from 1 – 4 and is determined by the size of your home and our availability.  This is typically determined the night before your appointment.

Unfortunately, in order to avoid any potential damage to your home, all of our cleaners are NOT allowed to move or lift any furniture or appliances over 50 lbs.  That said, we will happily clean these areas if these items are moved before our arrival.

No, unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, our cleaners are not allowed to stand on ladders, step stools, or furniture. That said, they do carry dusting poles that allow them to reach an additional 3–5 feet.

While we clean most areas of your home, the following services are not included:

  • Pet waste cleanup – This is considered a biohazard and poses a risk of cross-contamination with our cleaning equipment.

  • Carpet steam cleaning – This requires specialized equipment typically provided by carpet cleaning companies.

  • Exterior window cleaning – This requires specialized insurance generally held by window cleaning companies.

  • Wall cleaning – To avoid the risk of damaging your paint.

  • Insect- or bug-infested homes – To prevent cross-contamination or the spread of pests to other customers’ homes.

Safety & Security

Yes. We conduct thorough state and federal background checks on every cleaner before they are hired. In addition, our strict hiring standards mean we hire fewer than 1% of all applicants. This ensures you can feel confident knowing you’re working with some of the best cleaners in the industry.

Yes. Rest assured that we are a legitimate company. As such, we are fully licensed, bonded and insured.

Availability

We make this super easy! You can view all our availability on our online booking page or by simply giving us a call at 678.653.0541. Please note that all time slots listed on our website (e.g., 9 AM – 11 AM) are arrival windows, not the duration of the cleaning. This means our team may arrive at any time within that window. Of course, we’ll send you a 30-minute heads-up when we’re on the way.

We offer cleaning services Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Billing

We only accept credit or debit cards.

While your card is charged after your service is complete, we place a temporary hold on the night before to verify available funds. This hold is not a charge. If your appointment is canceled, the hold is immediately released and should disappear from your statement within 24–48 hours.

Because our cleaning services can’t be repackaged or resold to another customer, Green Maids does not offer refunds. That said, we are fully committed to providing the best cleaning experience possible. If you’re not 100% satisfied with your service, just let us know within 48 hours, and we’ll gladly send a different team to re-clean the areas of concern at no additional cost.

Cleaning Products Used

No. We bring everything needed to provide you with a great cleaning experience.  At the same time, you are welcome to request that we use any products that you prefer to be used in your home.

The majority of the cleaning products we use are natural soaps combined with essential oils like peppermint and lavender. These products clean your home thoroughly without the use of harmful chemicals.

Since bathrooms require a higher level of disinfection and mildew removal, we sometimes use traditional cleaning products in those areas. If you prefer green products throughout your entire home, simply give us a call—we’ll gladly accommodate your request.

Office / Commercial Cleaning

We try to make this as easy as possible. You can either call our office (678.653.0541) or fill out the quote form on our commercial cleaning page. Once we have that information, a Green Maids representative will contact you within 24 hours to provide you with a ballpark estimate. If that estimate sounds good to you, we will then need to schedule a short site visit in order to finalize that quote.

Yes. Our recurring commercial cleaning services require a 6-month commitment. Don’t worry, though—we allow you to try our services with no commitment for the first 30 days. If you choose to continue after that 30-day trial period, the 6-month commitment will then apply.
